The “Chinese Immigrants Doing Business in Canada” Conference is conducted by the Canada-China Institute for Business & Development (CCIBD) in collaboration with TD Bank as a service to the Chinese Canadian community to assist Chinese immigrants, especially those recently landed, in their efforts to setting up business and subsequently attain success in Canada. CCIBD is the only university-based institute in Ontario, whose sole focus is on Canada-China business relationships. It conducts applied research and impactful events, facilitates scholarly and business exchanges between Canada and China.
The Conference covers important topics pertaining to legal, labor practice, financial, and immigration issues. The Conference also includes a panel of immigrant entrepreneurs who will speak about their own experience in doing business in Canada, and student case competition to showcase how real-world business problems are tackled by the next-generation of business leaders being trained in Canadian universities. While the Conference is focused on Chinese-speaking communities, all immigrants are welcome, either you are already business owners or considering setting up your business in Canada.
The Conference starts with a continental breakfast at 8:00am, includes a lunch at 12noon, and a reception around 4:00pm, and offer ample networking opportunities for business owners and entrepreneurs among themselves and with other participants including service providers, professors, and students. Registration is FREE, but has to be done by September 8th, 2015 to secure a seat.
